FLUORIDE CAUSES HASHIMOTO'S THYROIDITIS RESULTING IN HYPOTHYROIDISM. FLUORIDE AFFECTS METABOLISM AND CONTRIBUTES TO HIGH CHOLESTEROL, CHRONIC FATIGUE, OVERWEIGHT AND RELATED PROBLEMS. IT ALSO AFFECTS BONES AND JOINTS AND CAN CAUSE DENTAL FLUOROSIS OR MOTTLED TEETH.
FLUORIDE FREE - I JUST WANT THE CHOICE
Hypothyroidism Diagnosis
My name is Lesley McMillan.
I am 49 years old and my story begins in December 2007 when a routine blood test
came back indicating my cholesterol level was high.
After further tests my doctor told me I had low thyroid activity or a condition known as hypothyroidism,
caused by Hashimoto's disease.
Hashimoto's disease, also known as Hashimoto's thyroiditis,
autoimmune thyroiditis or chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, is an autoimmune disease.
With Hashimoto's thyroiditis, antibodies react against proteins in the thyroid gland,
causing gradual destruction of the gland itself and making the gland unable to produce the
thyroid hormones the body needs.
You need to take pills for the rest of your life to survive.
But before accepting this verdict, I wanted to find out more.
Is Fluoridated Tap Water Slowly Killing Us?
Hypothyroidism - The Cure
I searched "low thyroid activity" on the internet and found many links between hypothyroidism and the fluoride in our water supply.
From
http://www.fluoridealert.org, the Fluoride Action Network website,
it became obvious to me that fluoride causes Hashimoto's disease:
- Fluoride was prescribed by European doctors up until the 1970's as thyroid-suppressing medication for patients with HYPER-thyroidism (over-active thyroid).
- Fluoride is a poison similar in toxicity to arsenic and lead, that is lethal if you ingest doses of more than 1/3 of a teaspoon.
- The fluoride added to the water is an industrial waste by-product contaminated with other poisons from the phosphate fertilizer manufacturing industry.
- There are only a few countries left in the world that still add fluoride to the water supply - namely Australia, USA, Canada, NZ and UK.
- The drug used to treat hypothyroidism in America is one of the top five prescribed drugs in U.S.A.
And this letter dated 1 May 2006 from
Richard L. Shames, M.D.
points out that the level of fluoride that
effects the thyroid when iodine intake was inadequate
falls well within the range of the fluoride we ingest every day.
I began my Fluoride Free Regime
two days after I was diagnosed with the disease.
